Google Has Officially Concluded Its Support For Trips & Travels Apps: [RIP]

For travelers that loved the Google Trips app for its travel planning and helpful discovery features, it’s now turned out as disappointing news that the search giant (Google) has said Goodbye to its trips app.

According to an official announcement from Google- Google has said ‘RIP’ to its trips apps as Google is shutting down its trips, travel app for mobile phones, and has officially declared on 5 August 2019. Although, users might not mind quite as much with this one because Google is incorporating much of the functionality from the service into its Maps app & Search features. Therefore, your information & tools are not going away, you will, however, need to look for them in other places.

The features of the app have been added to other Google apps like Maps and Search.

After closing of Google trips apps, user can still find the places, events, attractions in geography by just searching “my trips” or go to the new and improved Travel page in Google which is now enabled with same features as Google trips were circulating.

Well, Google announced changes to their Travel site in September 2018, which consisted of many of the features that had been broken out into the trips apps. So, now the center will be on driving users back to Travel and to include more of the functionality in Google’s dominant navigation & mapping app.
